Safe Steps Launches to a National Audience
01.10.09
Safe Steps, the transitional service for young people provided by Pathway Care in partnership with The Marlowe Child & Family Services, was launched to local authorities at the National Children's Contracting and Commissioning conference in Derbyshire last month.
A presentation, by Judith Rees from Pathway Care and Steve Miller from Marlowe, was attended by local authority officers from all over the country, who were very interested in this innovative service.
Mark Thomas, Businnes Development manager said ;"The key elements are that two separate agencies are working in partnership, improving outcomes for young people and also reducing the costs for local authorities. At this event we highlighted case studies of young people who have passed through the Safe Steps programme to demonstrate the successful outcomes to local authorities."
Around 100 delegates received information from the Safe Steps exhibition stand, and enquiries and referrals have already been received from delegates following the conference.
