Seven myths surrounding fostering are adding to the shortfall of Foster Carers.  In the UK there is an estimated shortfall of 10,000 foster carers which needs addressing urgently to ensure these vulnerable children are placed into a safe and supportive environment.

Pathway Care, a local independent foster agency, is appealing to Cambridge residents looking to put something back into the community to consider becoming a foster carer.

As Fostering Fortnight 2010* gets underway, a couple from Cardiff, who have fostered nine children in just ten years, is encouraging others to consider taking-up the role.
